This is so sweet and evocative...I love your imagery. Dowsing, static, all quiet and seeking. You have a great, great Peter-voice, and I could feel your Olivia too. The relationship you suggest between them feels exactly like the one on the show, with Peter's not-quite-brotherly, not-quite-unbrotherly feelings for Olivia. I enjoyed the weirdness of the situation, too; there was something lethargic and inevitable going on in your cadence that appealed to me.

Have you ever read Jonathan Lethem's "As She Climbed Across the Table"? You have this sweetly soporific tone that I love and it reminds me vaguely of that book (which I also love, and which shares an interdimensional portal [but not too much else] with this fic), so you might enjoy it.
