So I've been terrible about cross-posting here, and will probably continue to be so just because the character limit on lj is prohibitive and I hate re-doing all my formatting, but given the current exodus from ff.net that's crashing AO3 every two minutes, I figure it might be good to post some recent stuff on here as well. So, we're starting with the Armed and Dangerous 'Verse!

Warnings: This is mainly movieverse, as that's what I'm most familiar with; however, I have picked up some stuff from Marvel-616 as I've read more, so some of that trickles in. 
Summary: Bucky is found by SHIELD. Tony wants a project. They meet somewhere in the middle.

Summary: In which Tony Stark went to boarding school with Bruce Wayne, and the road to becoming a superhero is not smooth.

Notes: This plays extremely fast and loose with chronology, canon, whatever. There are elements of Batman Begins, Dark Knight, and the Iron Man movies, but also has stuff from the comics and then randomly converges at some amalgam of the Avengers movie and the Justice League I-have-no-idea-what. There is a real sequence of events that makes sense—I made a timeline!—but it’s pretty extravagantly not accurate to any particular canon, and time between major events is dilated/contracted as needed to get said events to line up in a meaningful and fairly reasonable way. I claim artistic license?

Long time, no see.

I am, in fact, alive. And term has begun again! I am excited because the summer was kind of desolate and boring and I need structure in my life.

And I, uh, have a request to make: I need help in finishing this thing that I've owed nightrider101 since the beginning of this year, because dammit I don't know how to go on, and what's more, my spn muse has completely run dry. So to any of you who are still avid fans and can instill me with your enthusiasm, I would appreciate anything from a cheerleader to a beta reader. It's about wings and profound bonds and also some problematic rips in reality that happen after the apocalypse-that-wasn't. I have a little over 7k written out of probably 10k total, which is way more than I was planning on doing, but apparently I'm incapable of writing anything less than weirdly convoluted plotty things or something? I think I'm going to post the first half of it very soon, with the hopes that this will pressure me into finishing the rest of it in something resembling a timely manner. But seriously, I keep staring at it, willing words to appear, but they just don't. So...yeah. Help?

On the flip side, though, I have been sucked into loving the Avengers hard core. I don't really read comics all that often, but I am totally behind the films and it's making me take Wikipedia crash courses on the the canon material like woah. Seriously, this movie has already ruined me, and it hasn't even come out yet. As a result, I am utterly lost to Steve/Tony right now. It's a disease, almost as bad as Charles/Erik, except worse because whereas Charles and Erik make me want to write them into badass adventures, Steve and Tony make me want to just read utter sap about how they made up after Civil War and got married and fought crime together. Argh. Stop it you bastards I hate you. Also my personal theme song for them is now 'Teenage Dream' because Tumblr is a terrible influence on me and I am a terrible person and it makes me laugh uncontrollably. STEVE IS TOTALLY TONY'S TEENAGE DREAM, DON'T DENY. Oh god this journal must never become connected to me in real life or I will have to change names and move to a different country again.
