Fanmix: On the Wings of War, the Soundtrack

Well, lk737 , you asked for it, so here it is. Be careful what you wish for!

This is basically a cross-section of what I listen to when trying to write this stupid thing. So, now you know why it is as ridiculous as it is. (Let me know if the graphic is wreaking havoc on your friends page, and I'll put it under a cut if need be.)

There’s no particular track order, because the whole thing is about as random as it gets when one picks music from a 40 GB library under the only advisement that it be anything as long as it’s seems to relate or maybe have a mood similar to what I’m trying to write about. Also, the cover's a bit roughshod, but it'll do for now.

And can I just add how incredibly difficult it is to do Photoshop while Jensen Ackles is right there in all his gorgeous glory? My brain kept melting every time I tried to add filters and shit because he's just that unreasonably pretty. Not cool, Ackles. Not cool.

Holy crap, your art is gorgeous. I love the intricacy of the armor and the lighting and gah! AWESOME. I'll have to put Dean in armor at some point or something...:D

Can you just tell me how big, what color you see the wings? I know how I'll do the claws and how to mingle them with the scale-like feathers but I want them to be as near as you see them yourself!

Oh my goodness, would you? That would be so amazing!! I'm so immensely flattered that you would even offer. Take whatever time you need--I'm certainly taking long enough with this monster of a story anyway :P

I see the wings as pretty damn huge, probably a twenty foot wingspan at least, and probably a deep brown, almost black, though lightening to a coppery tone in places. The spines can be a bit more metallic and coppery, reminiscent of scythes. But don't let any of that restrict your artistic vision! I would love to see what my writing managed to evoke for you!
