Um.

Considering I spend so much time there nowadays, I figured I'd better make myself a fannish tumblr.

So if you feel like following me, go here. It will probably be a lot of gifs and flailing and me writing in all caps and having epic feelings. Because on tumblr, that is basically how I roll.

I'll probably also put up unfinished writing that is destined for abandonment or is terrible or both. And I'll answer questions! If for some reason people feel the need to ask them.

This might be a terrible plan. But let's go with it! Yes.

I now am archiving stuff at AO3, so if you prefer reading that format, you can find my stuff (well, most of it) there.

I'll still crosspost here though. No worries.

Anything I left out is either stuff I don't particularly care for anymore, or The Outrage of the Years, simply because there is so much formatting involved in that story that I can't be bothered.

Cheers!

On the flip side, I just need to turn everyone's attention for one moment to Texts from Xavier Academy.

I think I'm actually crying from laughing so hard.

...anyway. I'ma go work on my thesis now.

Man, I haven't done a meme since my high school whiny lj of awful that is now thankfully lost to deletion and the sands of time. But hey, it's the end of the first full year I've spent fully ensconced in fandom with a journal fully devoted to it and stuff. So yeah, a meme should be in order! Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] coldthermistor .

Oh my god, when did it become the end of the year. I can't actually handle this.

I still like shiny things on my internet mantle! So...

...vote for me?

If you think I deserve it? :D

Win!

Awarded Merit on my dissertation! I AM THE MASTER OF LITERATURE.

...or, you know, parts of it.

And 'a' master, not 'the' master.

MY POINT STANDS.

In celebration, I will commit fic for great justice! Prompt me, and I will try and write something. It will be small, and may or may not be coherent, but it will hopefully entertain. (I probably won't be able to sustain this for very long either, but we'll see. It will be an experiment!)

And why yes, I am still avoiding my long fics, why do you ask? They are giving me so much trouble and I'm pretty sure I had an epiphany about my big bang last night but it was wrapped in the middle of a seriously tripped-out nightmare I actually screamed my way out of for the first time in my life and now I can't remember it. WHY SO DIFFICULT, BRAIN???

[livejournal.com profile] cynicl  has done me a great honor and nominated "Dies Irae" for the rare pair category at [livejournal.com profile] spn_award. If you agree with her, second the nomination and/or vote! I'm somewhat uncomfortable with self-pimping in this way, but I also like the potential of shiny things on my internet mantle, as unlikely as that may be.

In other news, I am still ludicrously busy in RL, and it is irritating. My giant stack of critical reading is glaring at me accusingly as I write this, because I am officially entering the realm of dangerous procrastination. Alas, literature surveys do not write themselves. Even less so when I have about 48 hours in which to write one in.

And yet,[livejournal.com profile] inception_kink keeps dangling its prompts tantalizingly at me! I WILL RESIST YOU, INTERNET. JUST WATCH.

I write like
James Joyce

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

I also got Lovecraft, Margaret Atwood, and Nabokov, but Joyce came up the most. Silly algorithms make good entertainment.

I am insane. I have a goddamn degree to earn. And yet...

Kiss Bingo! )

Oh hey.

It's highly probable that no one really cares at this point, but now, way after the fact, I just realized that Jefferson from "Dies Irae" is, in fact, Eliot Spencer. It actually makes me smile quite a lot. My subconscious amuses me sometimes. Also, a lot of things (like where the hell was I channeling his speech patterns from?) make sense now.

Okay, carry on.
